Vitamins
Mineral Blend
The Mineral Blend is composed of magnesium, zinc, manganese, and copper. Minerals assist the body in maintaining a healthy pH, immune system, rehydration, and muscle and nerve function.
o Magnesium is the 4th most abundant mineral in the body. Magnesium is responsible for assisting the body in creating protein, bone, and DNA. It also aids in regulating your blood pressure and muscle and nerve function. Magnesium has been studied to increase exercise performance, decrease risk of depression, regulate blood sugar levels, prevent migraines, and improve PMS symptoms.
o Zinc is an essential mineral and the second most abundant trace mineral found in every cell in the body. Zinc is necessary for the activity of over 300 enzymes that aid in metabolism, digestion, and nerve function. It also stimulates immune cells (T cells and natural killer cells) to protect your body from infection. Zinc plays a critical role in collagen synthesis, thus it is great to accelerate wound healing and gives your skin that supple, youthful appearance.
o Manganese supports normal bone structure growth and helps in the metabolism of cholesterol, amino acids, and carbohydrates. Manganese also has antioxidant properties that specifically fight off free radicals that visibly age the skin. Manganese can benefit those with arthritis, sprains, or other inflammatory diseases by increasing the level of superoxide dismutase (SOD).
o Copper is an essential trace mineral that plays a critical role in maintaining collagen and elastin. Copper also assist in making red blood cells, maintaining nerve cells, supporting the immune system, iron absorption, and energy production. Copper may help to prevent cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis.
NAD+
NAD also known as Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide is a coenzyme present in every single cell of our body! Imagine it as the key that unlocks all of the metabolic reactions in your body to maintain overall health. NAD + may have the ability to decrease pain and fatigue, improve energy, stimulate weight loss, increase concentration and focus, and reverse aging. NAD is able to accomplish all of this because of sirtuins. Sirtuins are a family of proteins that regulate our cellular health and keep our cells in balance. However, sirtuins are only effective when in the presence of NAD+. Unfortunately as we age, our levels of NAD + naturally decline leading to a decrease in the functionality of our sirtuins.
Zinc Sulfate
Zinc is an essential mineral and the second most abundant trace mineral found in every cell in the body.
B Vitamin Complex
The B Vitamin Complex is a blend of B1, B2, B3, B5, and B6. B Vitamins are overall really great for boosting energy levels and maintaining healthy cells, but each B Vitamin is unique and known for its own specific benefit.
o Vitamin B1 also known as thiamine specifically helps the body to convert carbohydrates from our diet into energy. This energy is used by our brain and body for muscle contractions and the conduction of nerve signals.
o Vitamin B2 also known as riboflavin is known for its role as an antioxidant due to its involvement in the regeneration of glutathione (see glutathione description to learn more about this ultra-powerful antioxidant). Vigorous exercise may deplete riboflavin due to its consumption in the metabolic pathways leading to deficiency.
o Vitamin B3 also known as niacin can help to lower LDL (bad cholesterol) and increase HDL (good cholesterol). Niacin is necessary for cellular metabolism and aids in exchanging hydrogen ions for oxidation-reduction reactions.
o Vitamin B5 also known as pantothenic acid is exclusively the trailblazer for the synthesis of CoA. CoA facilitates hundreds of biochemical reactions related to cell growth, metabolic energy creation, and neurotransmitter synthesis.
o Vitamin B6 also known as Pyridoxine is incorporated into 200 varying chemical reactions in the body. These reactions are critical for brain development, transporting oxygen, proper nerve function, and a healthy metabolism.
Biotin
Vitamin B7 also known as Biotin or Vitamin H is essential for healthy hair, skin, and nails. Biotin stimulates keratin production in hair and can increase follicle growth. Biotin maintains the mucous membranes in skin for a smooth, hydrated appearance. Biotin can also strengthen brittle nails by increasing nail plate thickness.
Amino Blend
The Amino Blend is composed of glutamine, arginine, ornithine, lysine, citrulline, and levocarnitine. Amino Acids are overall really beneficial with muscle growth and recovery while excreting toxic by-products from the body.
o Glutamine is the most abundant and versatile amino acid in the body. Glutamine rivals glucose as a vital metabolite and source of fuel for the body especially during stressful conditions such as high intensity physical exercise or sickness. Glutamine is an essential nutrient for the body’s immune system by promoting lymphocyte proliferation and cytokine production.
o Arginine aids in the production of nitric oxide, which helps to dilate and constrict blood vessels leading to a healthy heart and blood pressure. Arginine also aids the body in excreting toxins, combating fatigue, and boosting the immune system.
o Ornithine is the catalyst in the reaction to excrete ammonia (a waste product of our bodies) in our urine. Ornithine is also a precursor for glutamic acid (a neurotransmitter that helps with memory and concentration) and the production of collagen for healthy joints, tendons, and skin.
o Lysine is one of nine essential amino acids that you must consume via food or supplements. Lysine aids in the production of the nutrient carnitine. Carnitine helps to convert fatty acids into energy and supports the absorption of consumed calcium which helps to form collagen.
o Citrulline plays a role in varying processes including removing ammonia (a toxin) from the body, dilating blood vessels to decrease stress on your heart, and it may improve athletic performance by increasing the amount of oxygen in muscle tissue.
o Levocarnitine primarily assists in turning fat into energy. This will help you achieve your workout and physical goals.
Ascorbic Acid (Vit c)
Ascorbic Acid also known as Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin and powerful antioxidant. Vitamin C is necessary for the triple-helix formation of mature collagen. It stabilizes Vitamin E and folic acid all the while enhancing iron absorption. Vitamin C also neutralizes free radicals and toxins as well as attenuates the inflammatory response.
Glutathione
Glutathione is the master antioxidant (think of Vitamin C on steroids). Glutathione is naturally produced by your liver to fight off pathogens, toxins, and free radicals, but it can quickly be depleted especially if your liver is overloaded. Glutathione is your body’s defense again exposures with environmental toxins, stress, poor diet, and medication.
